This collection of 9 cd’s with so-called ”minimal” piano music is a must have for anyone who would like to explore this genre. Dutch pianist Jeroen van Veen, a specialist in this repertoire, plays both well-known and lesser known works of various composers, including his own Minimal Preludes. The recording is excellent and Van Veen plays the works with conviction.

良かった。ミニマルミュージックというと機械的な反復音楽のイメージが強かったが、とても抒情的な曲が多かった。ＣＤ４にはなぜかニーチェのピアノ曲が入っている。ただし、ブーレーズの言うとおり完成度はアマチュアの域を出ていない。ブリリアントの割にライナーノーツが充実している。
