録音は古く、颯爽とした演奏という訳ではないので、始めは生ぬるく聞こえるかも知れぬ。しかしこんなに深遠で広大な演奏も無かろう。強奏部分でも決して煩くなく共感できる。秋の澄んだ空気のように奥行きが深く、雲間に覗く薄いトルコブルーの空のように遠く果てしない。また銀の雫が青葉から滴り大地に染みとおるようにしっとりと優しい。瞑想的に広大な幻想曲集。玉霊の流れるようなマズルカ。透明でつやのある夜の空気を愛撫し訴えるような夜想曲。0 people agree with this review

I only want to speak about op.35. Never understood before this sonata, no Rachmaninoff’s, horowitz’s, Michelangeli’s rendering of this work are at Neuhaus level. The first notes, usually played all f as indicated by Chopin, are here played f,p,p: this gives to the beginning a never before heard equilibrium. He plays lot of wrong notes, but they signify nothing in front of this miraculous revelation.
