Excellent album from the mid 1950s. Sampson was a composer, arranger and a performer during the heights of the Big Band Era. Two of the songs on this CD were hits for Benny Goodman. In my opinion, he never received the level of recognition he deserved. The album is fine example of good mono ”hi-fi” technology from the mid 1950s, as Coral/Decca was wise enough to use a 30 ips master tape speed.0 people agree with this review
