This CD is produced by Jiang Xiao-Qing (Gu Zheng) and Fei Jian-Rong (Pipa). I know about Jiang Xiao-Qing’s performance from her debut album ”Breathing Spaces” and from her performance at the Li-Hua Ensemble. Once I heard how she plays Gu Zheng, I loved both this instrument and her! The content of the CD is pure Asian (like its title), you will not hear anything from the West, although there are plenty of piano, flute and violin accompaniments. Some tracks feature Erhu.
