This a refreshing, new approach to some classics of the Brazilian music, since BR6 is a Acappella sextet. All the singers are arrangers, conductors or music teachers, making an outstanding effort to get the most of each particular song. For instance, in ”Tanta Saudade”, a caribbean groove originally sung by Djavan, they have added a special flavor to the tune by scatting a brass-like chorus. In other song composed by the late Brazilian funk master Tim Maia, called ”Nao Vou Ficar”, their arrangement explores the combination of the voices, always treated more as instruments themselves. It’s a really good work of theirs.
