２００３年４月”Studio Officine Meccaniche,Milan Italia録音。 「展覧会の絵」では、黒田亜樹さんの集中力と緊張感が伝わってきます。 素晴らしい演奏だと思います。”Blues Variation”も黒田ワールドに引きずり込んでほしかった。Emerson氏もOKくれるでしょう。 「タルカス」では、ピアノ、ビブラフォン、パーカッション、バイオリン、アコースティック・ギターなど楽器の使い方も面白くも興味津々です。 デジパック仕様ジャケットも光沢があり綺麗です。 Keith Emerson氏も謝辞を述べています。 「こういう曲が聴きたかったんだよ！本当に、心から光栄に思う。」 ”I’d want to listen to stuff like this! I am really,really honoured.” - Keith Emerson 一部、ライナーノーツ、ジャケット・データより抜粋しました。 やはり、音楽の世界もデジタル・テクノロジーは諸刃の剣なのでしょう。 アコースティックに回帰しています。深みが違います。

(Continued... It might be fair to say it’s ”inspired by Tarkus” rather than an orchestral version and to be fair it is called ”Zone-Tarkus” and co-credited as ”ELP - M.Pisati” and individual tracks are credited as ”ELP - Translation by M.Pisati” or just simply ”M.Pisati”. I keep playing it (I like it) but if you’re after straight orchestral ELP you may be disappoined.

The CD is broken down into two suites ”Zone-Tarkus” and ”Pictures at an Exhibition”. I bought this for the former so that’s what I’m reviewing. The Tarkus versions are interesting, but ultimately a little disappointing if you are looking for straight orchestral versions of the same. Has to be considered ”good” or better as it is an ambitious project. It might be fair to say it’s ”inspired by Tarkus” rather than an orchestral version and to be fair it is called ”Zone-Tarkus”... continued
