I have listened to almost all the recordings of Mahler’s Sixth and I must to say that the present one is the worst. Strings are weak and they seem not always being able to play together; winds and brass are too often out of tune Furthermore, the orchestra seems to play without entusiasm. Perhaps, this is due to the conductor: not only he is uninspiring, but it seems that his presence is irrilevant, exception made for lethargic tempos. This recording is a shame for the musicians and an offence to Mahler.2 people agree with this review

0 people agree with this review
