ベーゼンドルファーを弾いた素晴らしい録音です。 ピアニスティック過ぎる”ピアノを叩き過ぎる”演奏が多く 落ち着いたベートーヴェン弾きが減ってしましました。 シフは、オーストリア・ハンガリー帝国出身でもあり、タッチの使い分けも 非常に明瞭で、特に、シンキングトーンと評されるインティメートな表現が絶妙な演奏です。

Andras Schiff plays with great clarity of conception and execution. Every harmonic nuance is translated into musical expression. The tonal balance is suggests the transparency of the fortepianos without imitating their restraints. These performances are elegant and civilized and convincingly challenge traditional concepts of Beethoven interpretation.
