Marred only slightly by the production values of the time, Compass Point is nonetheless an entertaining record by one of the greatest voices in music. It was originally released on the Stiff label, and it seemed to indicate a comeback of sorts. Unfortunately that never really happened, but Dekker continued to perform his hits until his untimely death. Compass Point is s good way to remember late period Desmond Dekker.
