メタリカがカバーして一気に名が知れた永遠のＢ級バンド。どの曲もエッジの効いたリフがやたらヘヴィだが、それもそのはず、この仕事がブラックサバスと同じロジヤー・ベインのプロデュースによるものと聞けば、無視できないハズ。ハイトーンのボーカルに好みの別れるところ（自分は×）だが、骨太のハードロックを聴きたい時、是非とも抑えておくべきバンドだ。

Its about time that MCA, Repertoire or whoever’s holding the license for Budgie’s catalog, to come up with Japan mini-lp sleeve CDs for all Budgie’s albums. Budgie is definitely one of the All-Time GREATS in Rock history.... and as heavy as anything that Sabbath and Deep Purple had ever come up with. They weren’t just ”hard rock”, they were GRANITE!!! Btw, no paper-thin sleeves please. Their album covers deserve the thick cardboard-sleeves treatment with GATEFOLD sleeves where appropriate.

とにかく、トニーボージのギターが、うねりまくりのひきまくり！！１曲目からハンマーで頭を殴られたかのような衝撃を受けてもた（意味わからん）。budgieのcdの中では評価は低いですが、メタリカがカバーした「脳手術の失敗」が収録されている云々に関わらず、ギター好き必聴！！！
