In the age of the lone DJ it’s great to see a ”big” band working on a big sound. Fascinating directions that evoke warmth and joy in discovering the possibilities of their band. Even when not completely successful the songs have a wonderful human touch often lacking in today’s antisocial, self-infatuated disk spinners.
