運命交響曲、有名な第一楽章は軽快なテンポでよく引き締まった演奏。 第５、第６ともにオーソドックスな解釈で非常に聴きやすい。 録音もわりと良い。 加えて価格も安い。 ベートーヴェン入門にはぴったりの一枚だと思います。

初めてベートーヴェンの交響曲を聴く方におすすめ。 値段もお手頃ですし、指揮者の解釈は模範的、オケはトップレベル、録音は申し分なし。

These two symphonies are probably the best of a generally uneven cycle of the symphonies that Haitink recorded with the Concertgebouw Orchestra.At this price such a well recorded disc makes an excellent introduction to,possibly,Beethoven’s two best known and popular symphonies.Recommended without hesitation

５＆７のＣＤで所有（６は未聴）。５番は、鋼鉄のがっちりした骨組みの演奏で、ライナーを彷彿とさせる。やや直線的であるが、なかなかの演奏である。力でぐいぐい押しているようでも、無理強いを感じさせない、自然さが好ましい。でもこのシリーズの白眉は９番。入手できないのだから、書くべきことではないが、数ある９番の中でも５指に入るほど優れている。
