Kirai ni Narenai ~Wave of Love~

■This is the first surprise collaboration between Koki Okamoto, guitarist of “OKAMOTO’S”, one of the most important bands in the Japanese rock scene, and Sho Kurashina, vocalist of the neo-AOR band “GOOD BYE APRIL”, which released its first major album in November 2024!

■The collaboration between the two, who had been in contact for a long time, was a song written for the latest CD “Sea of Love 2” of the compilation album “SALT... meets ISLAND CAFE”, which has a theme of “sea”. Sho Kurashina, who participated in the previous work in the series as GOOD BYE APRIL with the original song “Highway Coconuts”, proposed to Koki Okamoto to participate in this new compilation, and the dream collaboration was realized!

■The collaborative song “Kirai ni Narenai ~Wave of Love~” was also co-written, composed, arranged, and performed. This love song, with a sound inspired by surf rock, has a catchy beat and guitar that pays homage to the surf rock of the past, creating a straightforward and refreshing finish!

■The front cover features an artistic surf photo by surf photographer Pak Oksun that seems to capture the world of the song. This single is from the surf music compilation "SALT... meets ISLAND CAFE -Sea of Love 2-"!
