GAEKKUM / Know You Did

Three Korean loud bands, Snake Chicken Soup, bongjeingan, and Wah Wah Wah, will release an original 7-inch record on March 5th next year. This is the ninth installment of the K-Indies Series B333, an analog project by Tokyo-based Asian music label Bside to introduce talented Korean artists.

Bongjeingan will release their first 7-inch record, which will include their first digital single "GAEKKUM" and their follow-up single "Know You Did." "GAEKKUM" which gained early attention through Korea's leading live channel "ONSTAGE" is still widely loved as the band's signature song, and their follow-up "Know You Did" is also attracting attention in the scene with its unique chant-like addictive melody, unconventional song development, and elaborate, dynamic performance.

Bongjeingan is an alternative rock band consisting of three musicians, Ji Yun-ae (vocals, bass), Lim Hyun-jae (guitar), and Jung Il-jun (drums), who have been members of Korea's leading bands in the indie scene, "Kiha & the Faces," "HYUKOH" and "Sultan of the Disco". Formed to heal each other through music, they have a diverse musicality that is not bound to a specific genre, and are expanding their field of activities without hesitation. Their full-length album "12 Languages" released in October 2023, was nominated for the Best Rock Album category at the 2024 Korea Popular Music Awards. In addition, they have made a successful appearance at the Fuji Rock Festival, performed solo with the band DYGL, and performed twice in Japan, impressing their presence on Japanese listeners.
