「NME Awards 2012」発表！

イギリスの音楽誌NMEが主催する「NME AWARDS 2012」の授賞式が2/29（現地時間）にロンドンのブリクストン・アカデミーにて開催されました。

今回最多受賞となったのはフローレンス＆ザ・マシーンで「Best Solo Artist」、「Best Track」の2部門を受賞！ また「Best British Band」はカサビアン、「Best New Band」はNMEが大プッシュしていたヴァクシーンズ、「Best Album」はホラーズの『Skying』が受賞しています。 なお、最多7部門にノミネートされていたアークティック・モンキーズは「「Best Live Band」を受賞するに留まりました。

授賞式はGodlike Genius（神がかり的天才賞？）を受賞したノエル・ギャラガー、功労賞を受賞したパルプ、カサビアン、フローレンス＆ザ・マシーンなど人気アーティストがパフォーマンスを披露し会場を盛り上げました。
