 Nujabes直系の美メロトラックからJAZZサイドへ前作『Alone Journey』でNujabesを髣髴とさせるような荘厳で流麗な美メロトラックを展開し、評価されたBlazoが2年を経て新作をリリースする。その名も『Colours of Jazz』。この作品は前作のようなピアノを基調とした流麗なサウンドにビートを合わせてゆくテイストを軸にしながらも、フルート、サックス、ストリングスを加え、そこにJazzを意識した展開を付ける事で独自のジャズ。ヒップホップ・サウンドに仕立てている。 前作が胸を震わす感動的なサウンドであれば、今作は哀愁を感じさせるサウンドに。心象風景豊かなBlazoサウンドは十分に堪能できる1枚です。
