■About List Prices on HMV&BOOKS online
All declared prices are 8% sales tax included on our website until September 30, 2019.
From October 1, 2019, most prices will be included with 10% sales tax.
After the sales tax rate change, most items on our website will be applied with "10%" sales tax.
Some items qualified for the reduced tax rate will be applied with "8%" sales tax provided by the new sales tax.
Shipping fee and various options fee will be applied with "10%" sales tax provided by the new sales tax.
■How to calculate your charge around the effective date of the new sales tax
The sales tax rate appllied to your charge will be settled on the basis of the dispached date regardless of
the date of your order.
In case your order will be dispatched before September 30, 2019, your charge will be applied with "8%" sales tax
provided by the current tax.
In case your order will be dispatched after October 1, 2019, your charge will be applied with "10%" sales tax
provided by the new tax.
Regarding with items qualified for the reduced tax rate, your charge for those items will be applied with
"8%" sales tax provided by the new sales tax.
We will guide the expecting charge for your order including 8% sales tax when you place an order regardless of
the estimated shipping date for your order until September 30, 2019.
In case your order will be dispatched after October 1, 2019, we will recalculated your charge followed by the new sales tax.
Therefore, you will see the difference between the actual charge and the order confirmation.
The price and the sales tax rate printed on products also will be different from your charge depending on the shipping
time of your order.
