自らの音楽性とトコトンまで向き合った結果、日本人でもアメリカ人でも、ジャマイカでも、ブラジルでも、どこの国の人間でも出せない独特のグルーヴ感とワビ・サビの同居する奇妙なサウンドを創りだした記念すべき金字塔。この後発売されるライブ盤（現在廃盤...）にも収録されている楽曲が多数収録されているが、そのライブ盤のド迫力を聴いてしまうと、なんとなく今作が録音の状態において消化不良な感がしてしまう...が、実のところアルバムのトータリティー、楽曲センスともにまったく問題はない。それだけズボンズのライブはすごいということなのだが、それを抜きに今作は頭6曲まで隙をまったくみせない圧倒的な破壊力を持つ。さらにカバー曲「That's How Strong My Love Is」や、けだるさが最高にクールな「Pleasure Drop」、シングル曲「Bomb The Bomb」など、王道と邪道のせめぎあいのような楽曲は、まさに圧巻。まずズボンズを聴くならライブ盤か今作、または「Bomb Freak Express」あたりを。
