I don't know what genre this would be classified as and I don't really care. They are just excellent musicians and it's excellent music...these guys are really amazing' ~ Crystal - Mojo Radio Zamapara is a 5 piece indie rock band from New Orleans, Louisiana. The group specializes in artfully crafted intimate songwriting which is blended with their influences of the likes of: Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Paul Simon, Incubus, Bob Marley and The Police to name a few. The end result is an innovative style of straight forward heartfelt melodies that are steeped in Rock/Americana but have a strong dose of reggae/ska influences along with a New Orleans flavor twist of having dueling percussionists and funk overtones. This combination makes Zamapara's unique style flow and it comes through via their live performances which is always a high energy show that will get people dancing as well as entertain the audience with it's storytelling. Either way, you will always be along for the ride as an active participant at a Zamapara show! 'Now if that isn't just amazing music, then take away my credentials...that band is just awesome.
