昨年リリースした最新アルバム『平成』が各所で高い評価を受け、先日も第11 回CD ショップ大賞2019 において大賞受賞を果たした折坂悠太。その『平成』以来となる新曲2曲含むシングル作品『抱擁』を7インチアナログ盤でリリース。今作は「抱擁」「櫂」からなる2曲で構成されており、1曲目の「抱擁」はブラジル音楽を彷彿とさせる軽やかさとトランペットとフルートが彩りを添えるも、どこか翳りを残したリードナンバーとなっており、続く2曲目の「櫂」はミュージック・コンクレートやアンビエントとも取れる実験的な試みに挑戦した意欲作。
