2018年を代表する作品としてCDショップ大賞を受賞し、今なおロングヒットを続けている前作『平成』以来3年ぶりとなる待望のフルアルバム『心理』は、2019年冬から制作をはじめるも、昨年4月の緊急事態宣言を受けてレコーディングを一時断念。その間に収録楽曲の見直し、当初予定されていた楽曲の改編・再録を行い、遂に完成した。
