前二作でリスナーにその確固たる個性をアピールすることに成功したＸＴＣが、1979年に発表した名作サード・アルバム。キーボードのバリー・アンドリュースが前作発表後に脱退し、代わってデイヴ・グレゴリーが加入している。プロデュースはスティーヴ・リリーホワイト。この時期の混沌としたポップ感とライヴで力を発揮していた彼らの姿が理想的なバランスで刻み込まれている。余談ながらＸＴＣは本作発表と同時期に初来日を果たした。
