Consisting of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips, the daughters, of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas, Wilson Phillips is an acclaimed American vocal group. Their 1990 self-titled debut album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and placed three number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, making the trio the best-selling female group at the time. This 2-CD set in conjunction with the trio boasts a unreleased version of the hit Hold On as well as a second disc of rare versions and B-sides, all re-mastered by Andy Pearce from original tapes. The booklet features a new interview by the Guardians Paul Lester about the making of the album as well as rare memorabilia.

１９９０年発表の作品。女性３人によるコーラスを主体としたボーカルグループ。３人それぞれに個性があり、それぞれがリードボーカルを担当して、残りのメンバーがバックボーカルでサポートするというスタイル。歌も上手く、当時シングルカットされた曲は、アメリカのチャートで１位とか上位に入る活躍でした。リマスター化されて、発売当時CDシングルとして別売りされていた曲も２枚組の２枚目に収録されていてお得。

まさにポップスの「金字塔」と言えるアルバムです。このアルバムには全米No1シングルが４曲も入ってます。勿論、No1以外の曲もいいですよ。軽快な曲が多く、朝聴くと元気が出ます。買って絶対に損はしません。保証します！！
