Product Description

White River Junction is a group of players who have fused southern rock and Texas blues with a lyrical content straight out of east Baltimore. Influenced by American greats such as the Allman Brothers Band, Tom Petty and SRV, the band not only works within the defined parameters of the four minute song, but can flip a switch and throw it down jam band style with the best of them. While the band is in it's infancy and just released it's first CD, End of the Line, these are not your every day basement players. Garrick Alden has spent years honing his craft on Bourbon St and Nashville and was the house guitar player at the Grand Olde Opry for a number of years. Steve Ross hit the western edge of Tennessee performing on Beale St and goes back with the Toskes family to their days performing with the ska/punk underground band The Void. The bands first release, End of the Line contains eight original songs written by Steve Ross. The music stretches from a full blown southern rocker in Hot Whiskey to the Texas roadhouse rocking One Last Cigarette. Fallen Angel accentuates Ross's story telling with an extended cut of Hot Whiskey displaying the bands improvisational abilities with 50 seconds of meat grinder jam added on to the radio cut.
