2013 release from this musical project from Mezzanine Owls' Jack Burnside. Western Lows didn't begin at a certain time or at a certain place. Western Lows is the place that Burnside eventually came to, by some combination of walking and walking up, a place where the half-solid ideas swirling at his feet finally began to assume concrete forms. It's the sum total of Burnside's personal geography. Spring of 2012 saw Burnside travel to Athens, GA to record with Andy LeMaster at Chase Park Transduction. If you're looking for a moment of clarity, this is it - when the world taking shape in Burnside's mind became the band he'd call Western Lows.
