先日リリースされた、Epitaph移籍第1弾のニュー・アルバム『Hurley』が大ヒット中のWeezer。 そのヒットに続けとばかりに、熱狂的なファンがリリースを待ち望んでいた未発表曲群が、遂にCD化されることが決定！

本作は、DGC Recordsからリリースされる最後の作品で、収録曲の全ては未発表作品であり、その内9曲は過去に一度も聴かれたことが無いという貴重なもの。
ファンの間では、「ミステリー･イヤー」と呼ばれている1998年の音源を含む1990年代後半から2000年代後半（時期的にはセカンド・アルバム『Pinkerton』リリース後、サード・アルバム『Green Album』前の頃）にレコーディングされたていた楽曲群で、フロントマンのRivers Cuomoが「素晴らしい楽曲、素晴らしい仕上がり」と自画自賛していたものだったが、何故か最終的に商品化されていなかった幻の作品なのです！
聴けばバンドの謎や疑問が解明されるかもしれない、そんなWeezerファン・マストな1枚！これは要チェックです！
