Kindred Souls

As a session man, solo artist or producer, Wayne Riker's guitar virtuosity embraces a broad variety of musical styles, made all the more astonishing by the fact that he can play practically anything with fluid authority. His prowess is obvious, but the key to understanding his approach to music is that whatever the source of his musical strength, it is always used in support of the composition and the band. Riker is a dynamic player with a deep bag of fretboard tricks, such that each time he makes a new recording, I wonder if he's going to be able to top it.
