甘いだけのシンガー・ソングライターなんて掃いて捨てる程いるなか、この人は別格でした（過去形なのが悲しい）。アサイラムからのメジャー・デビュー後、ヒット曲もありましたが、お世辞にも売れていたとは思えません。にも関わらずレーベルを変え、アルバムを発表し続けることが出来たのはアメリカではそれなりに認められていた、と云うことでしょうか。なら、アメリカも捨てたもんじゃない、と思わずにいられません。全曲心に染みます。個人的には収録曲「THINGS TO DO IN DENVER WHEN YOU’RE DEAD」が1995年のアンディ・ガルシアが主演した映画のタイトルとなり、同曲もエンド・ロールに使われていた事に喝采しました。是非ご一聴を。
