Requiem For A Missing Link

This is Berlin-based art/music duo Cherie and Nackt aka Warren Suicide's first full-length release for the Shitkatapult label. Since 2006's the Hello on Fume, their world has been overflowing with projects: drawings, videos, visual concepts, theater music, composing, web sites, productions, sessions, remixes and new ideas. Requiem for a Missing Link is a condensed expression of their multimedia works - 12 great songs merged into one big composition beyond genre boundaries. Tracks such as Run Run, Land of the Free, and Home are perfect pop masterpieces between electro and rock, pop and avant garde arrangements. String pieces, distorted basses and drum loops underline the clear voices of Nackt and Cherie. Beatles-punk-electro. This whole album is like concept art without underlining any heavy meaning: like the title track proclaims, I want to love what I don't understand, Warren marries dark tales and unforeseeable events into something very fresh.
