Product Description

Keep on Rollin' : Voodoo Swing's first Electric Lotus Label release premieres this Summer of 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. Their new album features distinct Tear-it-Up Rockabilly, thrusts both by the combo's virtuosity, and their sponsors, Gretsch and Knucklehead Strings. Guest starring Bindi Modela's vocals and the exceptional Wyatt Maxwell on lead guitar and lapsteel, make Keep on Rollin' a tour-de-force that'll be hard to match. We feel it is our best work to date, representing not only our tenacity and stubborn work ethic, but also those of dozens of other roots music bands, who persevere, -and log thousands of miles on the road. 2011 is marked by Voodoo Swing's enthusiastic support by Gretsch Guitars, Knucklehead Strings, and Cock Grease Pommade ; while Electric Lotus Label, Arizona's boutique Recording Artist collective, signs the band to it's eclectic roster. The fruit of their collaboration with Olivier Zahm sets the horizon for mountains of releases, shows, and musical cross-pollination. The Band also embarks on multiple tours across Europe and the Western United States to establish Phoenix as a scene to be reckoned with. The last three tracks on the Album were recorded by Voodoo Swing in 1997, with original bassist, Junior Ruppel. You can easily recognize [how] our sound and arrangements mature throughout the 18 years we have been playing and recording music. Leeroy says. We also feature a couple other talented musicians, including Wyatt Maxwell on guitar, who currently tours with Wayne Hancock ; and Bindy Modela, an incredible local singer, model and artist. As a symbol of the band's authenticity and commitment to Rockabilly culture, the new record features their tour vehicle, a '69 Lincoln Continental, suicide doors and more, on the cover. Listen to Voodoo Continental - a tribute to their trusty / thrusty car that never fails to get them to the show on time. ON THE ROAD AGAIN The Road : (n) Voodoo Swing's main ecosystem for the last couple of years, over all the Western States and Mexico. They head back to Europe, June and October 2011, with over 50 guaranteed dates. Wesley Hinshaw loves the rigors of tour : It is on the road, when we play shows nearly every night that we feel we are playing our best. No better time to play your 'A' game than when performing, winning over new audiences from out of state, or out of country. Rockabilly culture integrates radical road trips, motorcycles, greasers, pompadours, colorful tattoos, and Pin-Up girls. They are, if for no other reason, why you should come to our shows says Wes. Picture a Marilyn Monroe or a Bettie Page dressed to the nine's, head to toe, looking glamorous and beautiful. There will be dozens of them. There always are. The Voodoo Swing gentlemen remain extremely grateful for the Pin-Up's support, as well as car and bike clubs, retro fanatics, and all music aficionados. Be on the lookout for the band's shows, you'll surely be knocked out of the parking lot by their unflagging energy and distinctly deep, swingin' roots sound!
