ラテン・ジャズ界で高い人気を誇るロバート(ピアノ)とマイケル(トランペット)のロドリゲス兄弟に、強力なライバルが現れました。ホルヘ(トランペット、27歳)とマイケル(サックス、26歳)のビステル兄弟です。キューバ生まれの彼らは現在、スペインを拠点に全ヨーロッパをまたにかけて活動中。ジョー・ロバーノ、ジェームズ・カーター、ロイ・ハーグローブ他と共にステージに立った経験もあります。このアルバムでは様々なムードを持った曲を集め、一種のショウケース的にアルバムを構成しています。アフロ・キューバン・ルーツを強烈に意識した(5)は、特に強烈です。二人ともまだまだ荒削りなところがありますが、そこが今後への限りない期待を高めてくれます。
