50年代後期のヒット・シングル「ランブル」（58年16位）から60年代にかけて、エレクトリック・ギター・サウンドのパイオニアとして旋風を巻き起こしたリンク・レイ。本盤はリンクの初期のバンド（リンク・レイ＆レイ・メン）でも活躍した実兄ヴァーノン・レイ（ギター、ヴォーカル）が、リンクのメリーランド州のスタジオ、レイズ・シャック・スリー・トラックで録音、72年にリリースしたソロ・アルバム。『Link Wray』（71年）、『Beans & Fatback』（73年）など当時のリンクの諸作と同様、アメリカ南部のダウンホームな魅力に溢れた傑作。初期のリンクのバンドではヴォーカルを担当していたヴァーノンの味のあるヴォーカルも聴きどころ。
