神のような存在のバンドが出て来なくなってかなり経つが、（ニルヴァーナが最後？？）VELVET REVOLVERはメンバーがメンバーだけに、かなりそれに近いバンドだ（もしくは、だった？）。 ガンズは、全盛期は、アクセルのほうにばかり目が行っていたが、他のメンバーがロックだったからかっこよかったんだな〜と今は思います。 （正直、アクセル一人のガンズなど全く興味ございません） で、このアルバムですが、“発売日当日に、レコードショップに（CD?）走って行って即購入したい！”と久々に思わせてくれるようなもの。 ボンジョヴィの（ロックでもタイプは違うが）CRUSH以来の最高のロックアルバムの一つ。 このアルバムは、良質のクラシック音楽の演奏のCDと同じような重みを持つ。 要は、何度聴いても飽きない。 良質のクラシック＝良質のロック、という結論に正直びっくり！！ スラッシュ、ダフ、マット、スコット．．とほんとに素晴らしいんですが、でも、実はデイブのバッキングもかなりかっこいい〜です。

20年前のガンズ全盛期は知らず、チャイデモでガンズ〜ベルベットにはまった私にはほんとカッコイイロックンロールです。ダフは私と同い年ですが若々しいし、スラッシュは顔はジーン・シモンズぽいけどプレイはジミー・ペイジ？だし、マットはピストルズぽいし なんとも言えず不思議なのですが。次作のボーカルはダフがやればっていう意見が多いみたいですね。
