The Netherlands have produced a good number of internationally renowned rock bands over the years. Focus and Golden Earring spring immediately to mind, but when it comes to Hard Rock then Vandenberg leads the pack. Fronted by flamboyant and brilliantly talented guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, the group arrived on the scene fully formed and signed to Atco, the sister label of industry heavyweights Atlantic Records. With cover artwork designed by Adrian himself, the album, originally released in 1982, is a peach of a record that still cuts right to the chase nearly thirty years later. No wonder David Coverdale invited Adrian to join what would become the most successful version of Whitesnake helping to craft the mega successful album '1987.' Special Limited Deluxe Collector's Edition, fully re-mastered sound shaped from 24 BIT digital technology, includes 12-page full color booklet.

本作品は、Vandenbergのデビュー・アルバム...

本作品は、Vandenbergのデビュー・アルバムであり、Vanedenbergの残した３作品は出色の出来であるが、特にこの1stアルバムが傑出した秀逸な作品である。本作の楽曲の良さを褒め称えるには、メロディーの良さだけでなく、エイドリアンの奏でるギターの音色が素晴らしいことが見過ごされてはならない!!とてもマイルドで、温かみに溢れるトーンでアルバム全体を包んでいる。“本作品では、捨て曲がない!!”と断言もしておこう！ポップな楽曲と言うことであれば、2ndアルバムに軍配が上がるのであるが、アルバム・トータルのクオリティーと言うことで行けば、本作品に叶うものはない。発売された順序を踏んで、1st⇒2nd⇒3rdアルバムと聴き進められるのがよろしいかと思います。本作を聴かずして、Whitesnake時代のエイドリアンを語ることなかれ～～♪♪★彡
