Product Description

(This HMV Review is for new items and is only for reference. Novelty will NOT be available for used items despite mentioned bellow.)

The Grammy award-winning r’n’b singer is back with his fifth album to date, ‘Confessions’, which portrays a more open side to Usher that has never quite been displayed in his previous albums. The production duties reads like a ‘who’s who’ of the urban scene with names including the pioneering Neptunes and Rich Harrison as well as past Usher collaborators Jermaine Dupri, R. Kelly, and the originators, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

The versatility of Ushers’ vocal talent is largely exercised on the album with tracks like ‘Yeah’ featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris to take it on a dirrty south trip. The sexy track ‘Wifey’ sees him teaming up with the Neptunes to provide another catchy hooked street anthem while ‘Burn’ sees Usher letting a relationship that he doesn’t want to be in fizzle out. Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke collaborates on ‘Dot Com’ which is apparently a song about, erm, cybersex but is also a ode to seventies funkster Roger Troutman’s track ‘Computer Love’ and Stevie Wonder also provides his expertise and a foot-tapping harmonica solo to the tune ‘All Bad’.

‘Confessions’ sees Usher combining his soulful background with a new element, brutal honesty. He discusses all of lifes trials and tribulations experienced by the male species as he takes you on an intimate journey of his life. This is not only a classic r’n’b album in the making, but a reference point for all your future obstacles in life.

"A lot of times guys can't really find it in themselves to be honest with their mates and tell them how they really feel. These songs will give guys that opportunity to put the record on and say 'Look this is what I'm going through' or just feel confident that they're not going' through it by themselves".
