9月中旬より全米公開を予定しているホラーアクション映画「Underworld」（ギャガ配給／2003年12月全国東宝洋画系ロードショー予定）のサントラ盤。映画は、100年以上も続く吸血鬼一族と狼男一族の闇の世界での戦い、そこに生まれた禁断の愛などをを描くもので、映画と同時にゲームも発売されるなど、話題性十分。監督レン・ワイズマン、主演は映画「パール・ハーバー」のケイト・ベッキンセール。
　そしてこのサントラに集結したミュージシャン、ハッキリ言って凄い！まずはこのサントラのために集結したWes Borland (元Limp Bizkit, Eat The Day), Richard Patrick (Filter), Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, The Vandals), Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails)によるバンド“The Damning Well”、Maynard James Keenan （Tool, A Perfect Circle）とDanny Lohnerのユニット“Puscifer”、元HelmetのフロントマンPage Hamilton。そして極め付けはDavid Bowieの新曲“Bring Me The Disco King”の、Maynard James Keenan & John Frusciante（レッチリ）によるミックス！などなど、とにかくトラック・リストを見て欲しい。新曲・新ミックスなど未発表トラック満載の、久々「キタ〜」というようなロック魂爆裂のサントラなのです。

おもしろ過ぎ！あくの強いアーティスト達ばかり集めたって感じで、曲も鳥肌立つぐらい格好いい！ｻﾝﾄﾗならでわの豪華さです！！

今までで一番気にいったサントラです。Ａ　Ｐｅｒｆｅｃｔ　Ｃｉｒｃｌｅ、ＮＩＮが好きなら絶対買うべきです。そして、ダニー・ローナー（ＮＩＮ）との共同活動でサントラを手がけたウェス・ボーランド（元ＬＩＭＰ）がリンプを脱退して正解だったってのとフレッド・ダーストなんかよりよっぽど音楽的に才能があると証明したと思う。Ｄａｍｎｉｎｇ　Ｗｅｌｌは、エイミー・リー（Ｅｖａｎｅｓｃｅｎｃｅ）とレコーディングしたものもあったけどレーベルの問題で収録されなかったらしいです。
