Above & Beyond

Our trio has been playing weekly at the Mologne House of the Walter Reed Hospital because we felt that through our music we could support the troops in a meaningful way. The wounded soldiers and their families have told us in a thousand ways that they enjoy the music. We've made many dear friends, and lost a few also. It's not a tearless endeavor. The music on this CD was selected particularly for it's restfulness. It's our gift to the convalescing soldiers, and we hope it will give them solace. Making a CD requires a whole team though, and every aspect has been donated: the recording engineer, the studio, the mastering engineer, the photographer, the graphic artist, and the manufacturer, as well as our time. We can't thank them enough. We will give the CDs, in turn, to the people we meet as we play. If you care to purchase one, ALL proceeds will go to: giving instruments to service men and women who need something productive to do with their time at the hospital, manufacturing new CDs when we run out, and if there's more, giving to a scholarship fund through Walter Reed. To the Brave men and women of the US Armed Forces, Thank you. We see you and your families living in the world of Above and Beyond--a world in which one act of courage leads to another.
