Patience is a virtue ... especially when waiting for the perfect combination of experience, dedication and chemistry. Based out of the small-town backdrop of Holgate, Ohio, Touch of Rage is considered to be one of the newest bands to hit the northwest Ohio metal scene, although the seeds were planted nearly two decades ago through members' affiliations with previous bands. With the one-two punch of bassist Adolf Casillas and drummer Loop Medina providing the solidity of a slick, yet pounding rhythm section, Touch of Rage brings back an old-school metal assault as guitarists Tim Herndon and Trent Vassar combine for driving riffs punctuated by crafty and melodic leads. Meanwhile, frontman Kevin Eis completes the picture with piercing lyrics and memorable hooks released through an uncooked, rapid-fire vocal style. Touch of Rage was newly formed at the tail end of May, but has wasted little time in writing memorable songs which take the listener back to the heyday of groove metal. Now armed with an arsenal of material along with a full length CD - recorded and mixed by Tom Tempel at Tempel Recording Studios - Fort Wayne, IN - Touch of Rage will continue to take it's aggressively entertaining live show to stages everywhere. The long-awaited and natural collaboration which is Touch of Rage provides solid evidence that, while timing and influence is crucial, good things do come to those who wait. And now that the wait is over, let the insanity begin ... No Emo, no Screamo - just old-school metal the way it should be ... hard, heavy and honest.
