2021年9月に初の配信解禁となり、国内のみならずアジアでも話題になったシングル「Beautiful World」を配信リリースした山下智久が新作シングル『Face To Face』を発表。

表題曲の「Face To Face」は、今、これまでの当たり前が脅かされる日々の中で、本当に大切なものがひとつあれば他には何もいらない、という気付きや、かけがえのないものはすぐ近くにあるという思いが込められた楽曲。
「Beautiful World」に引き続き、国内のみならず、海外でも活躍し実績を積んでいるプロデューサーUTA氏を迎え制作された。

また撮影で滞在していたフランスでは、Music Videoの撮影やフランスを拠点に活躍しているDJ Vantageに「Face To Face (Vantage Remix）」（通常盤にのみ収録）をオファーするなど、作品の幅をさらに広げている。
