　音楽のプロフェッショナルの世界で働いてきたドイツの“隠れた名ピアニスト”、トーマス・フィンクの2003年録音のトリオ作品。
　ヨハネス・フィンク(b)ハインリッヒ・クーベリング(ds)とのトリオによるロマンティックな作品。エロール･ガーナーを彷彿させる、録音場所のハンブルグというよりパリの匂いが薫る演奏は、ヨーロッパの長い歴史を誇る土壌が熟成させた芳醇な赤ワインを思い起こさせる。
　ピアニスティックな意味での、目新しいものはないが、ジャズのエッセンスを見事に醸造した、心にしみこんでくるフレーズが流れ出るアルバムとなっている。
　暖かい暖炉の火を、ワイングラスのむこうに眺めながら聴きたい作品だ。
