スイスを代表するサックス奏者ニコラス・マッソン率いる”サード・リール”でのECM2作目。マッソンは1972年ジュネーヴ出身。ニューヨークとジュネーヴで学び、クリス・ポッター、リッチ・ペリーに師事。2002年にニコラス・マッソン・クアルテット名義のアルバム『Awake』でデビュー。2006年『Yellow』、2009年『Thirty Six Ghosts』、2011年『Departures』、2013年『Third Reel』とコンスタントに作品を発表。

本作は、前作に引き続きエマニュエレ・マニスカルコ (ds)、ロベルト・ピアンカ (g)とのトリオ作品。
