Momentum

This is actually my second album. My first was GodZchild, 'Signed, Sealed, and Delivered available on CD Baby. I had a falling out with my business partners and gave up on music for short time. Also this CD is sold now, but I don't receive any proceeds, so if you buy it, I don't see a dime of that money. I just got a bad taste about the business and took a break. Gradually I got back into music, learning pro tools so I could record myself. In January of 2012 my mother passed away from a hard fought battle of drugs and alcahol. She was also terminally ill to make matters worse. When she passed away I was driven to write '4Mommy' which was straight from my heart to her. I got some good feed back and I was also amazed at the outcome. I felt rejuvenated and it lit a fire under me to get back, gave me a push, that's why I titled it 'Momentum'. I am the executive producer of this album. I funded and orchestrated this album from start to finish. I reconnected with my boy Bizzknocks, a hot up and coming producer in Las Vegas. He did all the music and mixes on this album as well as some hot vocal tracks. I have some musical back ground in my family, my grandfather was a great jazz musician who played many instruments, wrote songs, sang and played on cards back in the day with some well known artist. I changed my name from GodZchild to Tenascious B during this whole reinvention process, for one when I used GC it was not all over the net the way I spelled it, now you can check it's everywhere, I wanted to make this more personal to me. Tenascious describes my drive and passion to follow my heart and attain my dreams the 'B' for Bryon. Like a Tenascious D it stuck, also I didn't want to attach Gods name with some of the content, it didn't feel right. So there you have Tenascious B. I will always be GC, we all are. last but not least we are here for a second and gone in a minute, with no time to waste let get it!
