TFCが1991年に発表した初期の名盤！前作1stやそのアルバム収録の"エヴリシング・フロウズ"などが話題となって、エドセル・オークショニアーらと並ぶ、ダイナソーJr.への英国からの回答などとも言われたTFC。その後ノイズ垂れ流しインスト限定盤や、オールド・ロックのカヴァーを収めたEPなど自由奔放な活動で、次の一手が注目されているところへ出たのが本作。当初は美メロ中心のノイジー・ギター作(前述したN･ヤング、マドンナらのカヴァーでの感触に近い)でくるのはまっとう過ぎないかい？という反応もあったように思うが、そのうちに、M-1、4、7辺りに集約される中毒性あるポップなメロ/ハーモニーを絶賛する意見のほうが多くなった気がする。6、11も人気の高いナンバー。ノーマン・ブレイクの書くメロディはホントにクセになるが、メンバー中3人がソングライターというデコボコな楽曲の起伏がTFCの魅力でもある。
