    バルヒェットをソリストとするこの世界初録音の四季が録音されたのは１９５１年で、イ・ムジチのモノラル録音が１９５５年である。多くの人は、通常ミュンヒンガーの四季なら１９５８年のステレオ盤が良いというし私もそう思う。が、この１９５１年盤にはそれなりの良さがある。やや田舎風で洗練されていないオケの地味ともいえる響きは戦前のゆとりある古き良きヨーロッパを映しているようだ。バルヒェットのソロも流麗でもなくドイツ的な重さもある。そんな四季の演奏がこのCDである。再生はハイファイ的な音の装置でなく、音に丸みがあり音色豊かな音で聴くことをお勧めする。
