１９８６年発売のウィンウッド最大のヒットを記録した４枚目のアルバム。シングルカットされた曲は全て全米チャートインするほどで、プロデューサーや裏方陣を見ると、あまつさえ売れ線に走ったと思われるかもしれないが、やはりそこはウィンウッド。だてに10代から第一線で活躍してるわけではない。ちゃんとブリティッシュ・ロックしていて、ウィンウッド節が炸裂している。

Steve Winwoodといえはリズム＆ブルースですね。 このころのSteveはノリノリの脂が乗った凄い状況でした。 このアルバムももちろん誰もが一度は聴いたことがある曲ばかりです。 最近のアルバムもこのころの音に戻って原点回帰的な作品です。 やっぱりキーボーディストの彼はカッコいいです。 ＨＩＰ ＨＯＰとか今のＲ＆Ｂ的な物を好きな人はぜひ聴いてください。 今のその音楽のルーツが垣間見れます。

こんなに完成度の高いアルバムが、なぜロック名盤にエントリーされない！？評論家はビートルズやストーンズばかり礼賛していていいのか？少なくとも、たとえば、ジョン・レノンのイマジンなどよりは完成度の高さは上。私としてはベスト１００の中の２０〜５０位ぐらいにエントリーされるべきアルバム。スティーヴは地味なイメージのせいか、なんか、損しているよ。
