Oh The Light

Taking inspiration from the great cerebral rockers of old and the avant garde of the new, in washes of harmony and riffery, passion and bass drum pound from motown and soul, and the sensitivity and melancholy of Britpop, Steelbirds bring their own Polish on stage and in the studio. Oh The Light is the passion filled debut from Melbourne five piece Steelbirds. 'Oh The Light', lays the band bare; With the blue-eyed soul of Luke O'Connor's vocals, the sometimes bombastic sometimes intensely delicate delivery of each tune, 'Oh The Light' deserves it's place alongside Wilco's 'Blue Sky Blue' or Elbow's 'The Seldom Seen Kid'.
