菅野光亮氏（作曲・ピアノ）と芥川也寸志氏（音楽監督）による郷愁あふれた作品で、劇中のコンサートで人生を振りかえりながら主人公が弾く「ピアノ協奏曲」が深く心に残ります。この映画は監督・影像・脚本すべて優秀ですが、やはりこの「ピアノ協奏曲」あっての名作「砂の器」と思います。
