エルトン・ディーン脱退後の後任に元ニュークリアスのカール・ジェンキンスが、そして、ヒュー・ホッパーの後任にロイ・バビントン (b) が加入した1973年の新体制ソフト・マシーン。同年10月26日オランダ、ロッテルダムのデ・ランタレンでの発掘ライヴが登場。

73年２月にリリースされたアルバム『Six』からの楽曲を中心に、のちの75年作『Bundles』に収録される組曲「Hazard Profile」、バビントンのベースソロ「Ealing Comedy」など白熱のステージをCD２枚に完全収録。

変拍子を駆使したジャズロックと洗練されたフュージョンを融合した、この時期ならではのサウンドを展開。
