これの前のスタジオ盤soft works名義でのabracadabraでは、Holdsworthがとても一緒に演奏したとは思えず、他の３人と遊離した冷めた演奏ぶりに失望したものです。なので、このスタジオ新作には大いに期待していたものの、結果的にこれの前に出たLegacy名義でのライヴ盤（Legacyとしての1st?）の方が、バンドの真価が発揮されていそう。悪たれjenkinsは早くSOFT MACHINE名義の使用権を破棄すべし！

Sounds very good to my ears - Ratlift, for example revisits old Third / Fourth / Fifth territory, whereas other tracks explore new sound. Etheridge stands out here as a key soloist. The whole thing gels well and the band plays terrifically. A significant testament to Elton Dean’s last (?)studio album (recorded Sep/Nov 2005).

「ソフツよ、お前もか」ああ求心力の低下。長い不在のあとの復帰作で例外的に良かったのは、フォークのヴァシュティ・バニヤンくらいなもの。
