本作は、トラディショナルでも、レゲエでもなく、自作による、自叙伝的内容の作。いつもの如く、グロテスクな程の美声で、巧く、そして、痛々しい。カヴァー曲が、一曲、見事に我が歌にしている、シングルにして欲しい。オ―ヴァード―ズ状態で不安定、不幸で微妙、心根のとげに刺さって来るような歌詞。平穏と、伴侶、理解者を求めて、傷つき、傷つけるアイルランドの歌姫。自死はもちろん、引退もせず、本作の様なソウルフルな歌、これからも、聴かせて欲しい。生は、かくも残酷。

シネイドの大ファンだから、絶対に買いたいけど国内盤を買いたいです。前作の国内盤は輸入盤の半年後にやっと出ました。でもボーナストラックが５曲も入って、対訳も付いてたし、ジャケットの作りも凄く良かったです。今回のアルバムも海外では、デラックスエディションがあり、本が付いてたり、ライブＣＤが付いてたりするものがあるそうです。国内盤も、そうなることを祈って買うのを我慢してることにします。ちなみに今回のアルバムは、２０００年？発売のアルバム「生きる力」のようにファンじゃない人にも凄く聴き心地の良い物だと思います。早く国内盤出てほしい。
